Role Summary

The Senior Security Consultant serves as the primary technical owner for the USPS AWS Managed Services environment. This role combines Service Delivery Management, AWS Solution Architecture, Security Leadership, and Customer Engagement. Looking for a candidate to be located in Coppell, TX.

Primary Accountabilities
  • 24x7 operational oversight
  • AWS platform support and administration
  • Security and compliance management
  • Vulnerability remediation governance
  • Change and release management
  • Coordination of Penetration testing
  • Customer reporting and communications
  • Technical documentation ownership
Required Skills & QualificationsAWS Knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of core AWS services, including Lambda, S3, EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and related managed services.
  • Ability to support AWS platform administration, troubleshooting, deployments, and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with AWS security, networking, monitoring, and architecture principles for managed services environments.
Security Compliance Policies
  • Understanding security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, and related cloud security control requirements.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management, security operations, compliance reviews, and remediation tracking.
  • Ability to coordinate security assessments, penetration testing activities, audit readiness, and customer compliance reporting.
Technical Account Management
  • Experience with incident management, change management, escalation handling, and production support coordination.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing workflows, request tracking, status updates, and customer-facing service reporting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, service delivery governance, stakeholder communication, and operational accountability.
Requirements:

Core Responsibilities

AWS Operations & Monitoring
  • Monitor AWS environment and critical services
  • Manage incidents, alerts, and escalations
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify corrective actions & the respective owners in Voxai
  • Maintain operational runbooks and procedures
AWS Platform Administration
  • Support AWS Lambda, EC2, networking, and integrations
  • Execute deployments and approved changes
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Implement AWS best practices
Change Management
  • Review and assess change requests
  • Create implementation and rollback plans
  • Execute MACD activities
  • Document and validate all production changes
Security & Compliance
  • Manage cloud security posture
  • Support least-privilege access controls
  • Monitor compliance requirements
  • Remediate security findings and misconfigurations
Vulnerability Management
  • Conduct weekly vulnerability reviews
  • Prioritize and track remediation activities
  • Maintain POA&M records
  • Ensure remediation targets are met
Penetration Testing Oversight
  • Coordinate quarterly internal and external testing
  • Review findings and remediation plans
  • Present results to customer stakeholders
Documentation Ownership

The Lead Technical Resource is responsible for maintaining:

  • AWS architecture diagrams
  • Network and data flow documentation
  • Security response playbooks
  • Operational runbooks
  • Incident response procedures
  • Change management records
