Job Title: International Credentialing Specialist
Business Unit / Department: Credentialing/ Provider Network Management
Location: Remote (US)
Reports To: Supervisor, International Credentialing
Position Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist holds the primary responsibility for the input, management, categorization, screening, and processing of all credentialing paperwork and information related to each healthcare provider and facility who performs evaluations or diagnostic testing for the International Department. This role ensures that all Providers and Diagnostic (DX) facilities recruited by the VES International Recruitment team are in compliance with International contractual credentialing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compiles and creates the credentialing and training paperwork that each prospective provider is required is complete per our government contract with the VA.
- Distributes Credentialing Packets as requested by the Recruiter, including HIPAA and DEMO/MST packets.
- Assist Recruiters in sending paperwork and training materials to the providers.
- Compiles, researches, and screens all Providers via NPDB, IRS Interactive TIN, Health Guide USA, NPI Registry, APA, and other online resources.
- Manages all facets of the credentialing process, and ensures each Provider / DX location is fully compliant.
- Processes licensure, background checks, VA training, billing paperwork, legal contracts, and academic information for Providers / DX locations.
- Inputs credentialing, personal, legal, fiscal, medical, academic, and contact information into the internal operating system (OMS), and creates a profile for each provider once they are credentialed.
- Maintain frequent communication with Provider/DX Recruiters regarding the credentialing status of each Provider / Facility that they recruit.
- Periodically audit Provider / Facility profiles in OMS for accuracy.
- Manually maintain and keep up to date all active providers’ profiles and information within OMS.
- All other relevant duties and tasks assigned via the direct supervisor of the team.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence across diverse cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, DocuSign, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
