JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Pulmonary Function (PFT) and/or Lead Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist provides clinical, operational, and leadership oversight for pulmonary diagnostic and/or pulmonary rehabilitation services as assigned. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, and program growth while supporting staff development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

• Graduate of Registry Level Respiratory Care Program or Certified Level Respiratory Care Program

• Credentialed by NBRC

Minimum Work Experience

• 4 years clinical experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

• CPR certified

• Texas Medical Board Respiratory Care License

• RRT, NBRC

• CPFT or RPFT (PFT Lead, preferred)

• AACVPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certification, (Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead)

• May pursue or maintain COPD/Pulmonary Disease Educator, preferred

• May pursue or maintain Asthma Educator Certification (AE-C), (Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead, preferred)

• May pursue or maintain Tobacco Cessation Specialist (TTS, CTTS), (Pulmonary Rehab Lead)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Input data into computer programs.

• Maintain work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards.
