Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Pulmonary Function (PFT) and/or Lead Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist provides clinical, operational, and leadership oversight for pulmonary diagnostic and/or pulmonary rehabilitation services as assigned. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, and program growth while supporting staff development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education

Graduate of Registry Level Respiratory Care Program or Certified Level Respiratory Care Program

Credentialed by NBRC
Minimum Work Experience
-
4 years clinical experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
-
CPR certified
-
Texas Medical Board Respiratory Care License
-
RRT, NBRC
-
CPFT or RPFT (PFT Lead, preferred)
-
AACVPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certification, (Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead)

May pursue or maintain COPD/Pulmonary Disease Educator, preferred

May pursue or maintain Asthma Educator Certification (AE-C), (Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead, preferred)

May pursue or maintain Tobacco Cessation Specialist (TTS, CTTS), (Pulmonary Rehab Lead)
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Input data into computer programs.

Maintain work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards.
