JOB TITLE: Marketing Operations Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
- The Marketing Operations Specialist supports the planning, coordination, execution, and measurement of marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, generate leads, strengthen customer engagement, and support business growth across Buckeye Broadband's Residential, Business, and Connected Communities lines of business.
- This role manages campaign workflows, project timelines, content coordination, vendor and agency communications, approvals, reporting, and marketing documentation to keep projects organized, accurate, and moving forward. The position works closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Billing and Support, Project Management, and external partners to support strategic initiatives and day-to-day marketing operations.
- The position also provides customer-facing sales support and front desk coverage as needed, representing Buckeye Broadband professionally while helping route customer needs to the appropriate resources.
- The Marketing Operations Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager.
- There are no direct reports to this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Marketing Operations Specialist is accountable for:
- Coordinating integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, social media, direct mail, website, event, and customer communication channels;
- Supporting marketing initiatives for Residential, Business, and Connected Communities products, services, promotions, and customer segments;
- Managing campaign timelines, project workflows, approvals, deliverables, production schedules, and related documentation;
- Assisting with audience coordination, segmentation requests, list management, campaign deployment, and performance tracking;
- Preparing campaign summaries, reports, dashboards, and recommendations to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Maintaining marketing calendars, project trackers, creative assets, and campaign files to support efficient execution and team visibility;
- Creating, editing, proofreading, and coordinating marketing materials, including emails, flyers, presentations, sales collateral, website updates, customer notices, social media posts, and promotional materials;
- Ensure customer-facing communications are accurate, clear, brand-consistent, and aligned with approved messaging;
- Supporting website updates, email campaigns, social media scheduling, landing pages, digital promotions, and customer retention communications;
- Assisting with product launches, service updates, market research, competitor monitoring, and leadership presentations;
- Collaborating with internal teams, agencies, printers, media partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to support marketing objectives and deadlines;
- Supporting budget tracking, invoice processing, purchase orders, campaign fulfillment, and vendor coordination;
- Help improve marketing processes, documentation, and workflows to increase accuracy, efficiency, and accountability;
- Coordinating internal communications and project updates for assigned marketing initiatives and special projects;
- Coordinating event materials, promotional support, logistics, and post-event reporting for sponsorships, community events, sales events, trade shows, and partnership initiatives;
- Supporting community-facing marketing efforts that strengthen Buckeye Broadband's local presence and customer relationships;
- Providing backup front desk coverage during breaks, absences, vacations, and other staffing needs;
- Greeting customers and visitors professionally and help maintain a welcoming, organized lobby and customer service area;
- Assisting customers with basic account inquiries, product information, service availability questions, appointment scheduling, and authorized sales or service requests.
- Supporting prospecting, customer retention efforts, monthly and annual sales objectives, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Promoting appropriate Buckeye Broadband products, services, and offers based on customer needs;
- Coordinating with Sales, Customer Support, Technical Support, and other departments to route customer inquiries or issues appropriately;
- Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
- Perform any other departmental or company duties as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED - required.
- Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - Required.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
- Two to four years of marketing operations, marketing, communications, project coordination, sales support, customer service, or related experience - Preferred.
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns, reporting, CRM platforms, project management systems, customer communications, or cross-functional projects - Preferred.
- Experience in telecommunications, technology, subscription-based services, sales support, or customer-facing environments - Preferred

- Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, Smartsheet, Drupal, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, collaboration, and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while representing the Buckeye Broadband brand professionally.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Marketing Operations Specialist regularly work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; schedule may vary and may include lunch periods, evenings, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
- Required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks; must maintain a valid driver license and an insurable driving record at all times.
- Must comply with the company drug-free workplace program and policies, including mandatory pre-employment and random testing throughout employment.
- Physical demands may include lifting up to 50 lbs.; walking, climbing stairs, sitting, hearing, vision, standing, talking, use of hands and fingers, and driving.
