Description:

SUMMARY: Greet and direct all visitors to the credit union. Create a strong first impression for every visitor by representing the credit union in a positive and knowledgeable manner. Educate members on credit union products and services with emphasis on helping members become more familiar with our timesaving products and services. Assist MSR department with basic transactions when needed, and keep scheduling on track for FSR department.

DEPARTMENT: Financial Services

SALARY RANGE: 4

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greet visitors, answer telephones and credit union communication platforms; refer visitors and members to the appropriate credit union department.

2. Educate members on credit union products and services to empower members to make better financial decisions.

3. Schedule appointments for Financial Services, Investment Services and Real Estate Departments utilizing credit union platforms, and Outlook, monitor wait times in the lobby.

4. Maintain brochure supplies in the lobby and prepare packets for a variety of departments. Communicate with the Marketing Department if brochure supply is running low.

5. Through demonstration and interaction, provide information and training to members on the use of home banking, bill pay, mobile app, coin machine, and Kelly Blue Book inquiries. Encourage members in a positive way to understand and utilize our information and resource centers as a timesaving benefit.

6. Monitor for and identify Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) transactions and obtain required items of information to complete filing of Currency Transaction Report (CTR). Watch for structuring of account transactions and alert supervisor to any activity that might require completion of Suspicious Activity Report (SAR).

7. Complete mandatory BSA compliance training annually.

8. Mail notices and/or information to members and prospective members as directed.

9. Assist the teller line with basic transactions as needed, including but not limited to, cash and check deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, and general ledger transactions.

10. Process requests for member maintenance, including but not limited to account closures, contact information updates, setting up scheduled disbursement, closing and issuing debit cards, and ordering personal checks.

11. Assist Financial Services Department and perform other duties as assigned by Branch Manager.

12. Performs a variety of support and clerical duties for other credit union departments.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Requires basic reading, writing, math, attention to detail, computer skills, communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cohesively with staff and members. Fluency in Spanish oral language is strongly preferred for this position.

Employees may be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or balance. The position also involves reaching with hands and arms and lifting or moving items such as bags of coins or other materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, particularly when working on a computer. Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
