What You Will Lead
  • Lead daily dispatch operations, scheduling activities, and service coverage across all operating divisions
  • Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing Dispatch Team by fostering accountability, continuous training, and exceptional service standards.
  • Optimize fleet and motorcoach operator utilization to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
  • Direct service recovery efforts during operational disruptions, irregular operations, and customer-impacting events to minimize service interruptions
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key operational performance indicators, including on-time performance, service reliability, fleet utilization, service failures, and dispatch productivity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Finance, and Driver Leadership to ensure seamless operational execution and communication.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scheduling practices, dispatch workflows, communication, reporting, and the effective use of technology.
What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in transportation dispatch, operational scheduling, logistics, or a related operations environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing operational teams in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of charter, scheduled, contract, industrial transportation, tourism, passenger transportation, logistics, or other service-based operations.
  • Proven ability to make sound operational decisions, prioritize competing demands, and balance customer commitments with service delivery requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead through influence.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and exceptional service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and implement improvements that enhance performance.
  • Proficiency with dispatch, scheduling, or transportation management systems, along with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with transportation networks throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States is considered an asset.
