This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Intermediate QA Test Developer based in Canada.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of high-impact digital products within a fast-moving, fully remote engineering environment. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless user experiences across web and mobile applications by designing and executing automated and manual testing strategies. Working closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers, you will help embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. The position involves hands-on work with modern automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices. You will be responsible for identifying issues early, improving test coverage, and strengthening overall release confidence. This is a collaborative role where your work directly contributes to product stability and end-user satisfaction.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using modern frameworks such as WebdriverIO or similar tools.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure product quality across releases.
- Run and monitor automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, proactively identifying and reporting issues.
- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and communicate clear findings to developers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to define test strategies and ensure adequate coverage of new and existing features.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog grooming to support quality alignment.
- Create, maintain, and update test plans, test cases, and quality documentation.
- Support shift-left testing practices to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of the automation framework.
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation, software testing, or software development.
- Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO, Playwright, or comparable modern test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript within a testing or automation context.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Mocha, Supertest, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and running automated tests in integrated environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to React Native or mobile application testing is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

- Competitive base salary range: CA$83,000 – CA$99,000 annually, plus a performance bonus of approximately CA$10,000.
