Job Description
GSRP Lead Teacher
ECE Subhub is hiring full-time GSRP Lead Teachers. This is a school year position, Monday through Friday, with weekends and school breaks off, paid time off, and full benefits.
We believe children thrive when they are supported by caring, dependable, and engaged adults, and we believe our staff should feel supported, prepared, and valued in the work they do.
Support you can expect
- A Regional Manager who checks in regularly and is reachable when something comes up
- A qualified substitute when you need a day off, so covering your own absence is not your responsibility

As a Lead Teacher, you will plan and lead daily classroom activities and create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with program curriculum
- Lead daily routines and transitions
- Complete child observations, assessments, and documentation
- Guide and support other classroom staff
- Build positive relationships with children and families
Qualifications
If you hold an early childhood teaching certificate or a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, you likely qualify. The specifics are below.
Per the GSRP Implementation Manual, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- A valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood–General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, a Birth–Kindergarten endorsement, or a PK–3 endorsement; or
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with the transcript showing this as a major (not a minor), and a specialization in preschool teaching.
