The Paralegal Supervisor oversees the department’s production. The Supervisor will council, correct and train employees so their performance and production standards remain above expectations. The Supervisor will document all processes and train the employees on new standards, measuring successes and making recommendations for improvement to the department manager.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a particular portfolio, employees' performance, provide guidance, support and identify development needs.
  • Manage the relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.
  • Train new members of the team or when processes / conditions change.
  • Support employee career development and coaching when explaining, encouraging, planning, and correcting or just checking in with their employees.
  • Mitigate performance issues with action needed, including discipline, keeping manager informed.
  • Document, review and analyze daily, monthly, and quarterly volume and make sure staffing needs and allocations are sufficient.
  • Coordinate with management for client questionnaires and audits in a timely manner
  • Keep audit checklist
  • Assist manager with reviewing client scorecards
  • Ensure staff are completing tasks assigned timely and responding to clients comtags/intercoms per client directives/ SLAs
  • Review and escalate aged files
  • Work with the HR department on compliance issues

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience handling non-judicial foreclosures, real estate closings, or other transactional legal matters is preferred; however, candidates with a strong management background, transferable skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Eager to serve clients' needs, both externally and internally
  • Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations
  • Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
  • Ability to multitask is a must


Required Education and Training:

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
