Job Description
Qualifications: Associate degree or High school diploma with minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plumbing and/or electrical license preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees. Be familiar with a computer based Preventive Maintenance Program. Proficient in the installation methods for plumbing, medical gases, sprinkler systems, building automation, motor driven equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and other technical drawings as required to perform assigned duties. Have a valid North Carolina Driver’s License with no restrictions other than prescription eyeglasses or contacts. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. A familiarity of applicable code requirements, i.e.: OSHA, TJC, NFPA, NEC, etc. Ability to assist and supervise in-house renovations and/or new construction projects in conjunction with the Construction/Project Manager.
