Job Description

People & Culture Coordinator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People & Culture Coordinator based in the United States.

The People & Culture Coordinator will play a hands-on role supporting talent acquisition, people operations, and employee engagement within a growing, mission-driven consulting environment.
You will manage end-to-end recruiting for early-career and non-management positions while supporting onboarding, offboarding, and core people processes.
The role combines operational coordination with opportunities to improve systems, documentation, and employee experiences.
You will work closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders, balancing multiple priorities and keeping processes organized and moving forward.
Beyond recruitment, you will contribute to professional development initiatives, internal communications, surveys, wellness programs, and team-building activities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys variety and wants to build broad expertise across People & Culture.
The role is fully remote within the U.S., with a preference for candidates who can work Eastern Time hours and occasional travel as needed.

Accountabilities:
  • Recruitment and hiring: Manage end-to-end searches for Associate and Senior Associate-level positions, including candidate sourcing, resume review, first-round interviews, interview evaluation materials, panel coordination, candidate communications, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Recruiting coordination: Manage multiple open searches simultaneously, maintain candidate pipelines, partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, provide regular search updates, and help draft and publish job descriptions.
  • Applicant tracking: Maintain accurate records, workflows, and candidate information within the applicant tracking system, ensuring a consistent and organized recruitment process.
  • Onboarding and offboarding: Coordinate hiring and departure logistics, maintain onboarding materials and templates, and work with managers to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
  • People operations: Support updates to company-wide People & Culture documents, including handbooks and guides, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Program support: Assist with the development of professional development programs and internal hiring processes, while supporting performance review cycles, employee surveys, reminders, meeting agendas, and documentation.
  • Employee engagement and culture: Support engagement initiatives, employee surveys, wellness programs, team-building activities, recognition efforts, and internal communications that strengthen connection across a remote workforce.
  • Internal communications: Prepare employee-facing communications and Slack content related to People & Culture initiatives, recognition, and organizational activities.
  • Project coordination: Manage multiple workstreams, track deadlines and deliverables, proactively flag issues, and ensure consistent follow-through with limited oversight.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with managers and stakeholders across the organization, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of organization, responsiveness, and service.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, talent acquisition, administration, People & Culture, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Recruiting expertise: Demonstrated experience independently managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including job description development, candidate sourcing and screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
  • Organization: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to reliably manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Project management: Proven ability to track tasks, identify potential issues early, prioritize competing demands, and follow through without close supervision.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative consulting environment.
  • Technology: Proficiency with standard office and productivity tools, including Google Workspace; familiarity with applicant tracking systems is beneficial.
  • People operations: Exposure to performance management, professional development, onboarding, employee engagement, or other People & Culture functions is preferred.
  • Industry experience: Experience in consulting, nonprofit, or professional services environments is a plus.
  • Mindset: Genuine curiosity about how organizations operate, willingness to learn across multiple disciplines, adaptability, initiative, and a strong commitment to high-quality work.
Benefits
  • Annual salary of $79,040–$92,123, with starting compensation generally positioned between the range minimum and midpoint based on experience, internal equity, and budget.
  • Fully remote, full-time work environment within the United States, with priority for candidates able to work Eastern Time hours.
  • 6+ weeks of total leave, including paid vacation, sick time, personal leave, and floating holidays.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 80% employer-paid coverage for employees and 70% for dependents.
  • Health FSA and dependent care FSA.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • One-time technology stipend to support a productive remote work environment.
  • Professional development opportunities and support for long-term career growth.
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful public health and community-focused work.
  • Occasional travel opportunities to client sites, conferences, or organizational meetings as required.
  • Inclusive and collaborative workplace culture that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, initiative, and equity.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; work-related visa sponsorship is not available.
