HR/Marketing Manager in Portsmouth, Ohio at Schmidt Family Restaurant Group Inc

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and people-focused leader to serve as our HR/Marketing Manager for the North Carolina market. This position is approximately 80% Human Resources and 20% Marketing, providing support to restaurant leadership teams through employee relations, onboarding, training, engagement, recognition, and local marketing initiatives.
Position Details
• Full-Time, Exempt
• Based in the North Carolina Administrative Office
• Travel within the market required.

Primary Responsibilities – Human Resources (80%)
• Serve as the primary HR resource for Regional Director and District Managers and Restaurant Management Teams.
• Support HR programs, policies, and initiatives throughout the market.
• Manage employee relations matters and support investigations as needed.
• Coordinate New Manager Interview Training.
• Assist with People Excellence Audits.
• Manage onboarding and employment documentation.
• Support recruiting, retention, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Marketing Responsibilities (20%)
• Coordinate marketing supply orders and distribution.
• Support local marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
• Coordinate community donations, sponsorships, and fundraising activities.
• Track promotion and sales results using Excel.
Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Prior HR experience preferred.
• Restaurant or multi-unit experience preferred.
