Outside Sales in Brookshire, Texas at Mueller Environmental Designs

Job Summary: Outside Sales person is responsible for building and maintaining positive and productive client relationships in the assigned territory. Generates new sales through promotion and demonstration of the company’s products and technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with current clients
• Generates new sales leads and relationships through industry networking, business directories, digital media, client referrals, etc.
• Identifies client needs through initial discovery calls and/or meetings and delivers customized sales/product options
• Keeps informed of competitor product lines and understands how to positively differentiate and position MED products against competitors
• Develop and maintain an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the MED product lines and its position in the industry
• Follow up on quotes with clients and engineers
• Solicit client feedback/satisfaction, and provide input regarding client comments, questions, or concerns about product lines
• Prepare and conduct product presentations for specific companies as well as trade shows and industry conferences
• Assists in the planning of sales exhibits
• Attends conferences and trades shows to maintain MED position in the market and generate new client interest
• Properly use and protect use of the MED approved logo
• Perform all duties in alignment with the MED assigned budget
• Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
• Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs
• All other tasks as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business Economics, Communication and/or any equivalent education
• Must have 10 years in sales experience
• Proficient and engaging presentation skills
• Comfortable making cold calls and engaging new people on a regular basis
• Ability to handle rejection and use positive persuasion to overcome product objections
• Has a general understanding of manufacturing and related terminology
• Team focused and the ability to decipher large amounts of knowledge and condense into reportable and understandable outcomes
• The ability to be a part of a team supporting coworkers with knowledge and limiting disclosure of confidential information
• Proven sales record
• Self-motivated and driven
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Clean driving record, as may need to utilize company vehicle

Physical Requirements and other things to communicate:

The ability to lift 25 pounds. Work in a high-pace manufacturing environment. Can multi-task by sharing workspace with interruptions from others. Travel up to 75% of the time including auto and air. Driving at times may require pulling a trailer of demo equipment. At times, overtime may be required to accommodate client needs.
