Job Description
Position Information:
The Field Supervisor provides day-to-day field leadership and direction to Service Technicians and Route Drivers. This hands-on leadership position supports daily route execution, construction routes, deliveries, pickups, service work, events, and changing operational priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day field leadership and direction to Service Technicians, including coordination of construction routes, deliveries, pickups, service work, and changing operational priorities.
- Serve as the primary field point of contact for routine drivers questions and operational issues; troubleshoot concerns and escalate significant employee, customer, safety, or service issues to the Operations Manager.
- Train and onboard new Service Technicians and Route Drivers and coach existing employees on company procedures, equipment, service standards, safety requirements, and route expectations.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, route execution, and service quality; reinforce expectations and address performance or training needs.
- Conduct field and service quality checks to ensure units are properly serviced, cleaned, stocked, and left according to company standards.
- Lead and coordinate event setup, servicing, breakdown, field crews, and equipment during special projects and high-volume periods.
- Perform Service Technician and Route Drivers and other field responsibilities as operationally necessary.
- Reinforce safety procedures, PPE requirements, safe driving practices, vehicle inspections, sanitation standards, and proper equipment operation.
- Promote proper care and accountability for company vehicles, trailers, pumps, tools, portable restroom units, and other equipment; report maintenance or equipment concerns promptly.
- Communicate field conditions, employee concerns, customer issues, equipment needs, and operational priorities to the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a professional leadership presence and set the standard for attendance, teamwork, productivity, safety, customer service, and quality of work.
- Maintain knowledge of company policies and operating standards, work cooperatively with all departments, attend required meetings or training, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in concert with all departments.
- Maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Attend meetings and/or training classes as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant industry training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of field, route, sanitation, logistics, or related operational experience; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Nevada Driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and information in English.
- Ability to use personal computer and hand-held applications.
- An ability to work flexible shifts/hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at varying locations.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast pace and high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Must present a professional, friendly image and appearance.
- Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Physical Demands:
- Finger and hand dexterity.
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Noise levels are distracting or uncomfortable.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extremes of hot or cold in addition to wet environments.
- Job requires the following motions: climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, occasionally lifting; up to 75 pounds, stretching, sitting, walking on uneven ground and stairs.
