Position Summary

Maple Medical is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical & Procedure Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time basis (Mondays and Wednesdays).

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care, procedures, and creating an exceptional patient experience in a high-touch, concierge-style medical practice. The Medical & Procedure Assistant will work closely with providers to support patient visits, regenerative procedures, and energy-based therapies while helping ensure efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, patient-focused, and comfortable working in an innovative environment where no two days are exactly alike.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Procedure Support
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient consultations, procedures, and treatments
  • Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and treatment goals
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture for treatments and laboratory needs
  • Assist with PRP preparation and cell processing under provider guidance, including blood handling, centrifuge preparation, processing protocols, and procedural support
  • Assist with regenerative and energy-based therapies under provider guidance, including:
    • Procedure and supply preparation
    • Patient preparation and positioning
    • Recovery support and patient monitoring
  • Prepare and maintain sterile procedure environments
  • Maintain proper infection control standards and patient safety protocols
  • Help ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional clinical environment
Clinic Operations & Inventory
  • Monitor clinical supply inventory and maintain stock levels for procedures and daily operations
  • Assist with supply ordering and vendor coordination to ensure clinic readiness
  • Help maintain organized treatment rooms, procedure supplies, and storage areas
  • Assist with equipment preparation and upkeep to support efficient clinic operations
Administrative Support (As Needed / Backup Support)
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and patient records in the EHR system as needed
  • Provide backup support for phones, patient emails, texts, and portal messages when necessary
  • Assist with patient check-in, payments, and front office workflow as needed
  • Support scanning and document processing to help maintain smooth clinic operations

Requirements: QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent hands-on clinical experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience preferred
  • Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, IV therapy, surgery center, procedural medicine, or a similar clinical setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required — candidates must be comfortable independently performing blood draws
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, sterile technique, infection control, and patient care standards
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance in a boutique, patient-centered environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with in-office procedures or injections
  • Familiarity with regenerative medicine, orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, or biologic therapies
  • Experience with EHR systems (Athena Health experience preferred but not required)
  • Experience in a concierge, specialty, or cash-pay medical practice
