Summary:
Vighter is recruiting a Psychologist (Behavioral Health Provider) to assist in the provision of patient care operations in San Antonio, TX. The Behavioral Health Providers provides examinations, assessments, and crisis intervention for individuals with mental health needs, supporting behavioral health stability and safety. These exams consist of an objective one-time non-treatment psychological assessment related to PTSD, depression, anxiety and other behavioral health needs. Assessments are scheduled during normal business hours (Monday-Friday).
Principle Accountabilities:
- Conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations, clinical interviews, and standardized assessments to diagnose mental health, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disorders.
Administers, scores, and interprets psychological testing instruments, including cognitive, personality, behavioral, and neuropsychological assessments, as appropriate.. - Develops individualized treatment recommendations based on assessment findings, patient history, and clinical presentation.
- Provides individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy.
- Develops, implements, and monitors individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Provides crisis intervention and risk assessment services for patients experiencing acute psychological distress, suicidal ideation, or behavioral emergencies.
- Participate in behavioral health quality initiatives.
- Records must be submitted within 24 hours after completion of the exam.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be proficient in English (read/write/speak).
Education:
● Doctorate Ph.D. or Psy.D. with a major in the Psychology field
● Graduation from Doctoral or Postdoctoral APA Accredited Program.
● Must be a licensed Psychologist in accordance with state requirements.
● BLS required; ACLS preferred.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in specialty.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week.

- Location: 4440 S. Piedras Drive, Suite 132, San Antonio, TX

Travel:
- As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Commuting is non-compensatory. All official travel is government funded.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand or sit for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
- Must undergo urine drug screening (UDS).
- Must be a Citizen of the United States or legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
