Job Description
The Community Recruitment Lead is responsible for increasing the membership of Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road within a specific region. They will increase awareness and participation in Girl Scouts by developing relationships with community organizations, corporations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions, and other community constituents. They will build excitement within our communities about the power of Girl Scout Leadership Experience, with support from our part-time and seasonal recruiters covering specific scheduled events. The Community Recruitment Lead is responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting Seasonal Recruiters to achieve Girl Scout membership growth goals across Northern Kentucky counties.
This is an on-site position with remote work eligibility after a 90-day period. The standard work schedule is 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Requirements:Membership Enrollment:
- Utilize geographic data through research to create recruitment strategies focused on membership trends and best practices.
- Responsible for implementing and assessing comprehensive year-round recruitment and membership support strategies that increase girl and volunteer membership and enhance retention within their assigned region
- Generate girl and adult leads from a variety of effective methods, including but not limited to recruitment activities, marketing, community presentation, etc., identifying new volunteers who want to lead local Girl Scout troops in their community
- Facilitate in-person and virtual events to meet with prospective members
- Drive enthusiasm for Girl Scouting through presentations and storytelling with community groups.
- Network with corporations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions, and other partners.
- Follow up on leads and referrals utilizing internal relationship systems and technology platforms.
Onboarding:
- Ensure an efficient process for onboarding new and existing youth members and adult volunteers
- Manage the operational onboarding needs, including training assignments, troop number assignments, and other new troop supports
Cross Departmental Collaboration:
- Manage, support, and (at times) lead Girl Scout starter troops as they get off the ground
- Regularly report progress on assignments and projects to the Director of Recruitment Strategy
- Provide concierge-style support to troops, ensuring answers are met by the appropriate GSKWR departments and content experts
- Ensure each region provides program opportunities to their members, via partnership with the GSKWR Program Team
- Provide Support to the Product Program Team in ensuring successful product programs within their region
General:
- Ensure Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to all
- Provide a high level of customer service to all audiences they interact with and serve as a positive ambassador for the Girl Scout organization to the public
- Perform other duties as assigned
Operational Support:
- Ensure recruitment goals are met across assigned geographic regions
- Support scheduling, staffing logistics, and resource allocation for recruitment events
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training seasonal recruitment staff to ensure readiness for community engagement events
- Support staff in delivering engaging, mission-focused presentations that highlight the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- Troubleshoot event challenges and ensure a positive, welcoming experience for all participants
Data Management & Performance Tracking
- Monitor team performance metrics including event attendance, leads generated, and conversion to membership
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting by all Seasonal Recruiters
- Analyze recruitment data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth
- Provide regular performance updates and insights to the Director of Recruitment Strategy
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in sales, recruiting, youth services, volunteer support, or project management
- Experience of dealing directly with customers
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, multi-task, meet deadlines, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality

Work Schedule/Conditions:
- This is a full-time exempt position
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, and to travel, as required by position responsibilities during peak recruitment seasons
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Number of Direct Staff Reports: 0
- Number of Indirect Staff Reports: TBD, based upon PT and Seasonal hourly recruiters engaged to attend events within the region
Physical/Mental Essential Requirements:
- Travel as the job requires.
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, set up work-related supplies and/or equipment weighing at least 30 pounds.
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Provide own method of transportation, maintain valid driver's license with appropriate insurance.
- Pass initial and periodic background and driver checks.
