Job Summary
The department of Internal Medicine -Infectious Disease is seeking a Program Coordinator II to serve as a member of the Emergency Financial Assistance team in order to provide services to patients.

The Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting patients living with HIV by providing short-term assistance with rent and utilities during times of financial crisis. This position combines compassionate, client-centered service with rigorous compliance oversight to ensure that all assistance is provided in accordance with Federal Ryan White program requirements and University of Kentucky financial policies. This role is also cross-trained to provide housing services during employee vacancies and absences. The EFA Coordinator works closely with medical case managers, finance staff, landlords, and utility companies to prevent eviction and service disconnection, helping patients maintain safe, stable housing and continued engagement in medical care.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving vulnerable populations, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook), CAREWare.

Prefer Human/Social Services education background. Prefer experience working directly with and providing services to clients.
