Systems Administrator (ERP)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems Administrator (ERP) based in the United States.

This remote role offers an opportunity to become the primary technical expert for a critical enterprise resource planning environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, performance, and continuous improvement of the ERP platform supporting essential business operations. As a key member of the Financial Systems function, you’ll combine hands-on system administration with technical troubleshooting, reporting, integrations, and data management. You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. The role provides significant ownership across system configuration, upgrades, disaster recovery, security, and reporting capabilities. It’s an excellent fit for an experienced ERP professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving business processes. The position is remote and available to candidates located within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for the Deltek Vantagepoint ERP platform.
  • Administer and support ERP environments, including production, testing, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Lead technical activities related to system upgrades, patches, failover testing, and overall environment management.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex ERP and system issues, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders when additional expertise is required.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts supporting reporting, integrations, automation, and data validation.
  • Conduct data audits and establish controls and procedures to promote data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SSRS reports supporting operational and strategic business needs.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Business Development, and other teams to deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting solutions.
  • Administer user security, access controls, roles, and permissions in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
  • Protect sensitive business information by applying security best practices and maintaining appropriate system governance standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering system configurations, customizations, processes, and support procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, automation, and greater operational efficiency.
  • Build strong working relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support system performance and continuous improvement.
  • Support financial, project management, and operational business processes through effective ERP administration and technology solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of ERP systems administration experience, with Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision or a comparable finance-focused ERP platform required.
  • Advanced experience developing and optimizing SQL/T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSRS and/or Power BI reports.
  • Experience supporting ERP integrations and data exchange between enterprise systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance, information security best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting financial, project management, or operational business processes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, security, and system reliability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and take ownership of technical initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when documenting technical processes and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
