The Senior Regional Trainer plays a key role in driving training effectiveness and operational performance across multiple locations by developing trainers, supporting employee growth, and partnering closely with site leadership and HR. This position focuses on building scalable training strategies, identifying performance gaps, and supporting locations without dedicated trainers in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Ideal candidates are highly autonomous, data-driven, adaptable, and excited about future leadership growth opportunities within the training function.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30-5pm, with flexibility to work early or late shifts
Compensation: $67k-$75k
What You’ll Do- Using data, develop insights about the overall performance of a site as it relates to employee retention in the first 90 days of employment, productivity, adherence to SOP’s and overall operational excellence
- In partnership with the site leader and HR partner develop strategies for the on site trainers to highlight areas of operational excellence and strategies to address areas for improvement
- Training department scorecards and monitoring critical key performance indicators
- 25-50% travel required
- Train and develop newly hired training leads
- Evaluate and improve the existing training program at each DC under their purview
- Teach, coach and mentor training leads on the delivery of the PFX program, problem solving, time management
- Cover training needs in DC’s where there is no trainer or when a trainer is on a leave of absence
- Lead on site execution of the process procedure and compliance for the region for new SOP roll outs
- Analyze operations, HR and business metrics and develop specific training strategies to address and improve operational excellence which are site specific and problem specific
Required Development and Training
- Visit to Dot Foods and participate in their training program
- External development/education in adult learning principles
- Join external training and development professional group
- Steep uphill curve/training in using data to make informed decisions- by Keri/BI department
- Ride alongs with drivers in each market
- Gain understanding of the PFX CX and Sales training programs, develop relationships with peer group with CX and Sales trainers
- 5S/Lean six sigma/ continuous improvement education/dale carnegie etc…
What We’re Looking For
- 5 yrs PFX operations experience or equivalent distribution experience
- 25-50% travel
- Min 2 yrs experience as a PFX operations training lead or as a trainer in a similar distribution environment
- Certified Crown train the trainer for material handling equipment
- MHE certified for all pieces of equipment
- Strong alignment with and consistent display of PFX values
- Strong alignment with and consistent display of PFX safety procedures
- Highly proficient user of either vocollect or lydia - with the expectation to become expert in both as well as RF scanning
- Strong public speaking skills
- Ability to operate autonomously on a daily basis
- Bi Lingual preferred
