Job Description

Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our premises' safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

Requirements:

· Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

· Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)

· Perform preventative maintenance on injection machines, auxiliary equipment, injection molds, robots, and all other production equipment.

· Perform daily 5s tasks as needed and monitor overall safety regarding equipment.

· Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.

· Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

· Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed

· Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)

· Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a maintenance technician

· Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems

· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

· Willingness to work overtime when needed

· High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.

Physical Requirements

· The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is essential, as the position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various facilities and equipment throughout the day.

· Maintenance tasks often require lifting and carrying heavy objects, equipment, tools, and materials with or without a reasonable accommodation. The ability to lift objects of a certain weight (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more) safely and with proper lifting techniques is crucial to prevent injuries.

· Maintenance may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to access equipment, inspect tight spaces, and perform repairs.

· Climbing ladders and stairs and using elevated platforms to access machinery, systems, or structures for maintenance and repair.

· Maintenance tasks may involve pushing or pulling heavy carts, equipment, or materials.

· Adherence to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety goggles, ear protection, and appropriate footwear, are mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries.
