About the Position

The Airport is hiring two team members in our Maintenance Department to fill positions opening due to upcoming retirements.

General Maintenance I staff support the upkeep of airport grounds, buildings, and paved surfaces owned and operated by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board.

This role is essential during inclement weather. Staff are responsible for snow and ice removal, which includes operating large equipment such as broom trucks to keep runways clear and safe. When winter weather hits, employees in this role are expected to work long shifts, including mandatory overtime, regardless of the day or holiday.

Schedule rotates between Monday-Thursday and Tuesday-Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Four 10-hour shifts, 3 days off per week)
