This role offers an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to manage full-cycle payroll operations in a dynamic, fast-paced remote environment within the insurance sector.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting broader financial and HR functions.
The position involves close collaboration with Finance and HR teams to maintain data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting requirements.
You will also contribute to payroll accounting activities, tax reporting, and year-end reconciliation processes.
This is a detail-oriented role where precision, confidentiality, and strong analytical skills are essential.

- Manage full-cycle payroll processing accurately and within required timelines.
- Handle payroll-related accounts payable tasks when required.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries and support financial reporting activities.
- Review and validate payroll tax filings, including quarterly reports and year-end reconciliations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies and data inconsistencies.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential payroll records in compliance with policies.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Use payroll systems such as ADP to process, validate, and update payroll data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- PCP payroll certification is required.
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
- Strong experience preparing payroll journal entries and payroll-related reporting.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP.
- Exposure to accounts payable payroll functions is an asset.
- Experience with payroll tax reporting and year-end processes is highly desirable.
- Background in corporate or multi-province payroll environments is an advantage.
- Experience in insurance or financial services industries is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Benefits:
- Hourly compensation of approximately $27.
- 4-month full-time contract (37.5 hours per week).
