Salary Range: $111,547. - $147,800.

Director, Digital Information Transformation

Primary Purpose

The Director of Digital Information Transformation is a senior technology leader and strategic partner to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), responsible for driving UHA’s enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. This role provides leadership across all IT functions, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth.

Acting as the CIO’s second-in-command, this position helps shape UHA’s technology vision, operating model, and multi-year roadmap while promoting operational excellence, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Partner with the CIO to execute UHA’s technology strategy and digital roadmapLead enterprise IT functions including applications, infrastructure, data & AI, and securityDrive digital transformation initiatives aligned with business prioritiesEnsure secure, reliable, and scalable technology services and infrastructureOversee IT budgeting, vendor management, governance, and risk managementBuild and lead a high-performing, innovative IT organization

Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience7+ years of progressive technology or digital leadership experience, including:Leading multiple enterprise technology teamsDeveloping and executing technology strategyDelivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
Proven success operating at senior leadership or executive levelsStrong knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity, governance, and IT service managementExcellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industriesExperience leading enterprise digital transformation, AI, or data-driven initiativesKnowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAAStrong financial, portfolio, and vendor management experience

Working Conditions

    Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMay require travel to meetings, training, or conferences on Oʻahu or the mainlandOccasional evening or weekend work may be requiredMay be eligible for remote work with manager approval

This position requires residency on Oʻahu, Hawai'i
