Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Location: Wilmington, DE-19803
Hours/Week: Hours will vary as needed (day, evening, Saturday)
I. GENERAL SUMMARY:
• The MRI technologist position is for the North Brandywine Road office.
We are a busy MRI dept where we perform variety of general MRI’s. Mostly orthopedic cases, including spines.
II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. The MRI Technologist must demonstrate professional radiological imaging skills to assure quality management of all aged patients (adolescent through geriatric).
B. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, MRI safety, quality control, patient satisfaction, efficiency and the adherence to all American College of Radiology guidelines.
C. Responsible for producing quality MRI imaging, obtaining medical history, following pre-set protocols, while maintaining highest quality of patient care and safety.
D. She/he must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the exam and relieve their anxiety.
E. Must demonstrate excellent positioning; imagine technique, imaging equipment knowledge, quality control and infection control.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• High level of cross-sectional anatomy, preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of MRI technology.
• Strong and Interactive communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Strong Organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
B. EDUCATION:
• Graduate of school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current radiography license in State of Delaware
• ARRT registered: board certification in MRI
• Current BLS Certification, Required
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Previous MR experience highly preferred
