About This Position

Position Summary:

As an Account Executive, at Richline Group, Inc., you will be responsible for supporting the Vice President or Director of Sales in coordinating the daily operations. This includes day‐to‐day account management, ensuring that the customer’s needs are met. Responsibility includes meeting sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer all buyer and assistant buyers’ inquiries on orders and samples.
  • Track local and overseas emails and update team on shipping status.
  • Attend weekly CSR meetings.
  • Coordinate with QC Director on all new items that require overseas inspections.
  • Work with QC/PD to improve high defective rate items.
  • Attend “touch base” meeting with Analysts and direct Manager.
  • Review all models/revisions in work with merchants on product development projects.
  • Coordinate “touch base” phone call with buying office and direct Manager.
  • Send clearance reports; identify and call out top sellers.
  • Visit Stores and respective store websites with sales support team to observe marketing initiatives, make notes and report findings to direct Manager.
  • Manage employees and customer satisfaction:
    1. Assist sales representatives and customer service representatives with solving problems related to customer complaints or daily responsibilities.
    2. Mentor and assist in achieving team oriented goals and incentives set for sales support team.
    3. Assist in the respective training for sales support team.
  • Meeting Preparation:
    1. Work with direct manager to select product and renderings for meetings with Merchandising
    2. Review product once pulled and merchandise
    3. Prepare new proposal and pricing based on upcoming opportunities or buyer requests with appropriate guidance and approval.
    4. Work with Analyst to ensure sell thru reports are updated with most recent data.
    5. Extract best sellers, items to go up on replenishment, items to re‐order, advertise and be knowledgeable about information, Conversion to Asset Request with appropriate guidance.
    6. Maintain and have copies of most recent ad available in an effort to push for sales information.
    7. Reserve space and alert merchants if lines/trays need organizing.
    8. Prepare clearance proposal
  • Meeting follow‐up:
    1. Review all samples selected and decide on how items should be priced
    2. Send notes to Merchandisers including project requests
    3. Send notes to Analysts (NGF, RPL purge, expansions) and update selling.
    4. Price items
    5. Prepare presentations for review and approve before it is sent to buyer.
    6. Work with your direct manager prior to following up with buyers.
    7. Organize and keep track of cost sheets for quotes.
  • Item Pick‐up:
    1. Work with Sales Support to ensure that spec sheets are accurate and up‐to‐date.
    2. Identify and maintain a copy of all dot com item pick‐ups for all buyer presentations.
    3. Ensure that compliance requirements are met based on licensing and factory guidelines.

Notify direct manager of anticipated delays or non‐compliance issues and keep lines of communication transparent. (Packaging, pricing, etc.)

  • Product Development:
    1. Communicate information from buyers to merchandising.
    2. Work closely with your Manager on Customer Specific Collections.
    3. Upon Manager’s approval, communicate Buyer’s feedback/comments relative to product specifications, production and timelines.
    4. Complete and submit new Product Development requests
  • Analysis ‐ Work in tandem with direct Manager to: o Prepare monthly sales forecast vs. budgets o Review monthly sales out to customers
    1. Review Retail Sales thru results sent by analyst
    2. Review advertising exposure from analyst
    3. Review inventory/projections monthly
    4. Sales review of major categories and brands
    5. Update clearance grid.
    6. Maximize all dot com opportunities by engaging sales support team.
  • Dilution – Work in tandem with direct Manager to:
    1. Under direct Manager’s supervision, review margins
    2. Keep up to date records of customer allowances and returns.
    3. Review the system for returns and reconcile.
    4. Responsible for retrieving past due samples from customer and managing sample inventory.
Experience & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge in Retail Math
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Navision is a plus
  • 3‐5 years of industry work experience in jewelry, luxury goods, or retail.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
  • Competency in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
  • Ability to multi‐task in a high pressured environment
  • Knowledge of Italian is a plus but not required

Minimum Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • 3 ‐5 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
