About This Position

  • Job Summary
    • Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the Hospital in good repair and order. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.
  • Regulatory Requirements
    • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Additional languages preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Skills
    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
