About This Position
Triage Medical Assistant Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification.
- One year of work experience as a medical assistant with work experience in a health care facility such as a doctor, dentist, or hospital office - record keeping, working with the public, direct client contact, answering telephones and working with medical terminology or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.

Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the Triage Medical Assistant will perform a variety of client related support functions both clinical and non-clinical such as establishing and maintaining medical charts, obtaining vital signs and specimen collection of ordered tests (including blood and urine samples), completing forms and transcribing Physicians/CNP orders. The Triage Medical Assistant will collaborate with nursing daily to perform medication reconciliation and to discuss patient concerns.
