Second Shift Custodian at Bennett Day School Inc – Chicago, Illinois

Custodial personnel ensure the safety of Bennett Day School through the performance of general cleaning and maintenance of sanitary systems at all facilities including the building and grounds. The work is carried out under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Operations.

Job Hours:

• 5:00 PM -11:00 PM
• Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday
• Additional Hours Available

Job Specifications:

• Perform facilities custodial services ensuring adherence to school standards
• Cooperate with school management to ensure all work is accomplished in a timely manner
• Report any observed maintenance or repair issues
• Attend any meetings as requested
• Assist in the set up/breakdown for assemblies, meetings and events
• Store cleaning supplies and school-wide deliveries as needed
• Ensure that all activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Bennett Day School
• Custodial personnel perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and the administration.

Job Qualifications:

• Prior commercial custodial experience preferred
• Accountability for time and inventory management
• Self-motivation
• Strong work ethic
• Cooperative Approach

Job Requirements:

• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
• Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Able to work outside in varying conditions
• Regular and on-time attendance
• Hours may include evenings and weekends
