Overview

The D442 Wireless Systems Integration team is seeking a candidate to serve as part of our operations team focusing on the deployment and support of the wireless systems under our cognizance in the fleet.

The test engineer will be an integral part of the WSIT operations team, responsible for installing and supporting the current active wireless system baselines in the fleet. The test engineer will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the state of the engineering development models (EDMs) of all currently active system baselines in the WSIT lab. The position will require that the engineer has a strong security focus, have strong attitude towards first time quality, and the ability to work and communicate with other internal technical personnel as well as EB management and external organizations including our external customers.

This position will be an 100% on-site position when not traveling for installs or on-site support.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide remote support to currently installed hulls via helpdesk process
  • Install and troubleshoot wireless system baselines on both submarines and aircraft carriers
  • Provide on-site support to currently installed hulls via helpdesk process
  • Maintain the status of the system baseline EDMs in the WSIT lab
  • Serve as a technical verifier for all WSIT technical procedures

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with network infrastructure
  • Experience with server infrastructure
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba network infrastructure
  • Experience with Wireless network infrastructure
  • Experience with Windows Server and Workstation infrastructure
  • Experience with the NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program
  • Current DoD Secret clearance, or above
  • CompTIA Security +
  • DoD 8570.01M IAT Level 3 approved certifications
