Accounts Recv./Accounts Payable Clerk in South Bend, Indiana at Lerman Holding CO Inc

The Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk will provide support for the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This position will also support other processes and projects within the accounting department as needed.

· Assist with accounts receivable functions as needed. This includes but is not limited to:

o Generating sales invoices

o Applying customer payments

o Reconciling cash receipts

o Generating AR reports

· Assist with accounts payable functions as needed. This includes but is not limited to:

o Recording vendor invoices

o Processing vendor payments

o Generating 1099s

o Generating AP reports

· Provide administrative support to the accounting department during annual audits and ad-hoc projects as needed.

· Maintain documentation for accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures.

· Participate in helping to go digital with records and reports.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF editing.

· Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable procedures.

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Excellent organizational skills and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Associate’s degree in business or equivalent required

· Three years of related experience preferred

· Experience with ERP systems
