Part Time Resident Advisor - Monday, Friday, Saturday at The Dorm LCSW PLLC – New York, New York

We’re building something new in New York City: gender-affirming recovery housing that promotes skills-based learning and community support for young adults navigating mental health concerns.

Housed in a residence that pairs self-contained apartments with vibrant community spaces all under one roof, dWELL’s mission is to empower our residents with the support and tools they need for launching sustainable, independent lives.

Dwell Recovery has an ongoing need for part-time Resident Assistants (RA)'s to work Monday, Friday, Saturday from 8a-4p.

Daily RA Duties (depending on your shift) are as follows:

• Conducts room checks and oversees chore responsibilities
• Manages alcohol and drug testing onsite
• Manages medication monitoring process with residents
• Transports residents to all necessary appointments and offsite engagements
• Accompanies residents to 12 Step / support meetings in the community
• Lead/co-lead on site groups and community building activities.
• Complete shift reports, UA reports, medication reports, and chore reports.
• Regular house “walk throughs” to ensure the house is tidy and tour ready.
• Manages all other responsibilities as directed by PD or APD
• Other duties as instructed by management
• Must be able to lift and transport moderate to heavy items (up to 25 pounds) as part of room setup, resident move-ins, and related responsibilities

Overnight RA

• Every two hour room checks and hallway walk through
• Lock electronics when indicated.
• Wake-up support for all residents
