Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Department: Finance

Reports to: Manager

Location: Onsite Modesto, CA

Hourly Rate: range listed is dependant upon experience

The Accounts Receivable Clerk maintains, reconciles, and monitors all customer accounts, invoices customers, and ensures all payments made on customer accounts are properly applied. An AR Clerk is skilled in organization, creative problem solving, and is able to professionally navigate crucial conversations regarding the finances that have been placed in their charge.

Essential Functions Include:

• Maintain accounts receivable for multiple company entities while ensuring all customer needs and requirements are met.
• Initiate and process all customer invoices on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Reconcile customer accounts and notify customers of open invoice that are past due and credits on account available to use against open invoices
• Support the month-end close through various tasks and assignments
• Maintain and organize company filing systems
• Other job duties as assigned, including filling in wherever needed

Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Precise attention to detail
• Hard working, self-motivated, responsive, action oriented, and an innovative problem solver
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and safeguard confidential information
• Proficient in Excel
• Work and contribute in a team environment
• Have a positive attitude
