Medical Technologist, Registered in Clinton, Missouri at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the direction of the Laboratory Department in accordance with current applicable guidelines and standards as directed by the Director of the Laboratory department. Maintains accurate and complete records in the department. All duties will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards, and will comply with all criteria mandated by the appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies.

Responsibilities:
Proper review of patient results before reporting. Reports accurate and thorough results, and verifies results in a timely manner, proper use of chartable and non-chartable footnotes, performs work according to established policies and procedures, demonstrates a good understanding and use of Meditech and a broad knowledge of all laboratory departments, consistently checks pending logs, investigates and resolving any issues, performs, reviews, and documents quality control as appropriate, demonstrates proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments, demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose appropriate actions, demonstrates appropriate use of time by assisting others, putting away supplies, stocking, and completing extra assigned duties.

Education/Credentials:
Bachelor’s Degree
1–3 years experience
ASCP or AMT (Medical Technologist)

Starting Range: $28.37 - $35.46
