Barnard College’s Economics Department invites applicants for a full-time Lecturer position specializing in Financial Economics to begin on July 1, 2026. The Lecturer position is full-time, with opportunities for review and renewal at the 3rd year and promotion (to Senior Lecturer) at the 7th year of service.
Candidates must demonstrate a willingness and ability to teach undergraduate Financial Economics, Accounting and Finance, and Money and Banking. The teaching load is three courses a semester.
Barnard College is an independent liberal arts college for women affiliated with Columbia University. It offers a vibrant intellectual environment with access to multiple weekly seminars across all major fields at Columbia.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Completion of PhD before the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Strong interest and record in teaching financial economics, financial accounting, and money and banking.
- Familiarity with current state of research and recent pedagogical innovations in these fields, and interest in contributing to the latter.
- Demonstration of appreciation for the liberal arts environment, including toward advising, mentoring, and teaching.

Salary: $88,000 - $94,000
