About This Position
The Carpenter/Painter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and painting hospital structures and hospital-operated buildings and equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Constructs, repairs, and paints walls, partitions, cabinets, and other projects as required to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the hospital property.
- Builds items such as shipping crates, stands, display racks, and instrument and equipment cases, refinishing and painting as necessary.
- Maintains all required records and information pertinent to costing out work assignments.
- Assists with general maintenance work as directed and assigned.
- Acts as a security officer during normal working hours.
- Rotates as assigned and directed to assist with a specific activity or another employee in accomplishing plant maintenance or materials responsibilities.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Vocational/Technical school training preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience is required. Three years of experience preferred.
