MATERIAL HANDLER/PRODUCTION in NORWOOD, New Jersey at OnScent

Position Description: Position Responsibilities:

Utilizing scanner/tablet, receive, inspect, and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials, such as fragrance ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies, ensuring they meet the specified requirements and quality standards.

Safely and efficiently transfer fragrance raw materials from tote, barrel, drum, etc., into dispensing equipment for use by Compounder. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies to the production facilitating smooth workflow and minimizing downtime Prepare and distribute materials and supplies to production workstations, following production schedules and instructions from supervisors. Assist in packaging and labeling finished fragrance products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Perform quality checks on incoming materials packaging and finished products, reporting any non-conformities or discrepancies to supervisors and quality control personnel. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines while handling materials, including the proper storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous substances. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to material handling activities, including receiving reports, inventory logs, and material movement records. Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and properly labeled, optimizing space utilization and facilitating easy access to materials and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education - High school diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred. Experience -
Computer Skills - MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Other Skills - Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Physical Requirements: Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear Must be able to work in manufacturing environment with strong odors present.
