Logistics Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Department –Customer Service/Warehouse

Location – Hillside, NJ

Pay Range - $23.00 - $27.00 depending on experience

Job Summary

Logistics Shipping and Receiving Coordinator manages the flow of goods by verifying, packing, and shipping outbound orders while receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming inventory. Key duties include operating forklifts, using warehouse management software (WMS/ERP), updating inventory logs, and ensuring accurate, damage-free shipments. This role requires high attention to detail, physical stamina for lifting, and strong organizational skills.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

Shipment Coordination: Scheduling and managing inbound and outbound shipments using various modes (ground, air, sea, and rail).Shipment Handling: Loading trucks as required.Documentation Management: Preparing essential shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BOL), packing slips, commercial invoices, and customs forms.Inventory Oversight: Monitoring stock levels at RMA locations (Hillside, Pitman, Bluefield), conducting cycle counts, and coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure product availability. Carrier & Vendor Relations: Negotiating freight rates with carriers, sourcing new vendors, and monitoring delivery performance (on time, transit time, damages). Problem Resolution: Troubleshooting issues like shipping delays, damaged goods, or routing errors in a high-pressure environment.Customer Communication: Providing tracking updates, resolving complaints, and answering inquiries regarding order status

Requirements:

Experience in warehouse and logistics operations.Valid forklift operator license.Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., IQMS, SAP, Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with customs requirements, trade compliance, and safety standards like HAZMAT.Strong multitasking, analytical thinking, and the ability to maintain composure under tight deadlines.Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMinimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in similar position
