The Payroll Manager will perform all functions related to payroll and human resources including but not limited to ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations and all matters related to benefits and human resources. This challenging and fast-paced position will require a personable individual with extensive experience in client service. The candidate should have extremely strong interpersonal skills. The abilities to multi-task, problem solve and adjust from a daily routine are a must.
Your Impact:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Preparation of monthly journal entries for payroll, monthly reports and accruals for all regions
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Assist with employee benefits administration
- Performs other duties as assigned
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of five years related experience required
- 5 years of previous experience handling payroll for California employees
- Active Workday Payroll certification required
- Hands-on experience managing payroll within Workday, including payroll processing, reporting, and system administration
- Extensive knowledge of payroll and human resource functions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Previous payroll service implementation experience preferred
- Proven experience with sophisticated payroll systems
- CPP certification preferred
