About This Position

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Associate Transaction Manager will work with the Transaction Manager, or in some cases alone, to ensure clients’ needs are met and expected deliverables are provided in accordance with the Statement of Work. In addition, the Associate Transaction Manager will work with the Quality Manager to ensure only high-quality results are delivered within the timeframe disclosed in the Client Service Level Agreement.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a mortgage background underwriting post closed loan. Additionally, the candidate must be proficient in performing complex income analysis with multiple REOs along with an understanding of regulatory compliance. The candidate must also be proficient with all Microsoft office products.

Responsibilities*:

• Accountable for the gross margins and profitability of each assigned deal.
• Monitor staff production and quality to ensure Service level agreement is maintained.
• Provide assistance and guidance to the production staff.
• Work in tandem with other managers and departments to improve overall processes and find ways to create efficiencies.
• Prepare Deal Guides and host meetings with production staff.
• Prepare reports and perform data cleanup prior to delivery.
• Assist the Quality Manager in completing audit rebuttals filed on your assigned jobs.
• Address client conditions and rebuttals as they are received.
• Perform regular securitization cleanup checks on your assigned jobs.
• Conduct appraisal reviews, approve timecards, and perform other administrative Supervisory tasks.
• Attend and successfully complete all required training courses.
• Interact with clients on a regular basis to build and retain a strong relationship resulting in continued and new business.
• Willingly move from one client deal to another to meet client delivery expectations as volumes fluctuate.
• Adhere to all Opus CMC Policies and Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform in a Transaction Manager role when needed based on volume and business requirements.
• Work with other ATM’s/TM’s to ensure overall OPUS goals are met.

Education, Experience, and Job Skills:
Business or Finance Degree preferred or prior work experience equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of mortgage due diligence experience required.
Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting and/or fraud investigation
experience required.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of Supervisory experience preferred with exceptional
interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to withstand pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to reconcile priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on
objective-based facts.
Proficient in computer skills including sound working knowledge of Microsoft
Office products.
Knowledge and experience with AUS reports, manual underwriting, and
Agency Guidelines.
Solid knowledge of mortgage industry regulatory compliance requirements.
Confidence performing complex income analysis with multiple
businesses and REOs.
