Job Summary: At Cendera Bank, our tellers do more than handle money; they establish and nurture relationships with our valued customers. To continue this tradition of superior service and accountability, we’re looking for a qualified bank teller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in money management, customer service, and basic banking processes, a plus. First and foremost, this person must be trustworthy and precise so that our reputation as a trusted bank is reinforced in the community.


Responsibilities / Essential Functions:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily:

  • Opening & closing the bank branch, under dual control.
  • Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, or payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
  • Informing customers about bank products and services.
  • Tracking, recording, reporting, and storing information related to transactions, bank supplies, and customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
  • Maintaining and balancing cash drawers, vaults, night depository, and ATM’s and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Ordering, selling, strapping, and packaging cash and rolling coins to be stored in drawers or the bank vault.
  • Balancing and filling ATM’s.
  • Keeping a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
  • Handling currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Using software to track bank information and generate reports.
  • Following all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Required Qualifications:


    • Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • Basic math and computer skills to include Microsoft Office, a plus.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
    • Professional appearance and courteous manner.
