About This Position

Job Summary: At Cendera Bank, our tellers do more than handle money; they establish and nurture relationships with our valued customers. Our team recognizes that people trust us to handle their financial transactions with the utmost care and attention to detail. To continue this tradition of superior service and accountability, we’re looking for a qualified bank teller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in money management, customer service, and basic banking processes, a plus. First and foremost, this person must be trustworthy and precise so that our reputation as a trusted bank is reinforced in the community.


Responsibilities / Essential Functions:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily:

  • Opening & closing the bank branch, under dual control.
  • Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, or payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
  • Informing customers about bank products and services.
  • Tracking, recording, reporting, and storing information related to transactions, bank supplies, and customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
  • Maintaining and balancing cash drawers, vaults, night depository, and ATM’s and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Ordering, selling, strapping, and packaging cash and rolling coins to be stored in drawers or the bank vault.
  • Balancing and filling ATM’s.
  • Keeping a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
  • Handling currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Using software to track bank information and generate reports.
  • Following all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Required Qualifications:


    • Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • Basic math and computer skills to include Microsoft Office, a plus.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
    • Professional appearance and courteous manner.
