Group Leader- Wyomissing, PA (1st Shift)

SFS is seeking a Manufacturing Group Leader for our Wyomissing, PA location to join our team. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual who will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working in collaboration with our professional, supportive and passionate team!

Responsibilities

• Hands on leadership of small team of machine operators to productivity excellence
• Ensure inventory accuracy through proper material handling, documentation, and cycle counts
• Lead with safety in all aspects of machinery operation
• Hiring, training, and retaining employees
• Inspect parts and follow SFS inspection processes for quality
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance process
• Prevents and detects potential quality problems by following the QES (Quality, Environmental, Safety) standards
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
• Data entry of SAP transactions for meeting daily production goals
• Administrative tasks as required- reporting, time keeping, hiring and disciplinary documentation, processing timecards, etc.
• Program PMC controls
• Cleaning machinery, workstation, and other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

• High School Diploma required, associate’s degree preferred
• 2-5 years leading a team, in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to become forklift certified
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
