About This Position

Summary: Self-Starter, detail-oriented, organized, and driven individual for Business Development Sales. In this role, you’re assigned a territory and are responsible for working, assisting, building relationships with and growing your accounts. Your role is growing profitability in your given territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following:

  • Growing sales, increasing profitability, and gaining market share in given territory
  • Maintain and grow current client relationships and identifying areas of growth with potential clients
  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them via phone/Teams/email
  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
  • Effective use of Salesforce.com as CRM to capture customer notes/tasks/opportunities
  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
  • Collaborate with management team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
  • Complete trainings and be knowledgeable on the different company offerings

Skills / Trainings / Certifications / Degrees

  • Strong phone skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use PC and learn other company software
  • Ability to type 30 wpm

Competencies

  • Proven experience as an outbound calling salesperson, order entry specialist, or similar position with experience in proactive customer service or related fields
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to build positive relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

Education and /or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 3yrs. of prior customer service experience
  • Sales experience in business or a related area
