Job Description
Everest Recovery Centers is run by seasoned veterans in the substance use disorder treatment field. Our mission is:

We help people rebuild their self-esteem and reestablish their roles as productive family members through our outpatient services, which include medication-assisted treatment; diagnostic assessment, recurrence prevention and support groups, addiction education, counseling, and more.
We are currently seeking a fulltime People Operations Generalist. This is a new role that reports to the Head of People Operations. The position supports the day-to-day administration, activities and compliance of the People Operations function including administering benefits programs, payroll, employee records management, recruiting, on-boarding and employee relations along with some marketing activities as well.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Administration of Applicant tracking system, new requisitions, hire letters, ensuring process is followed.
- Conduct background screenings
- Manage and track onboarding activities
- Assists with recruiting activities as needed.
Benefits Administration
- Administer company benefit programs
- Explain and advocate for reward and recognition programs and practices
- Educate employees regarding benefit programs to increase engagement of programs offered
- Audits programs to ensure compliance with eligibility, regulatory, and contractual requirements
Payroll & HRIS
- Manages and processes payroll according to internal timelines and quality standards
- Ensures payroll activities are administered per tax requirements
- Ensures employee personnel files are maintained, accurate and secure per legal requirements
- Administers HR systems with an eye towards efficiency
- Ensures pre-employment screenings are complete and accurate
General Administration & Compliance
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local labor regulations to minimize legal exposure
- Manage leave requests/administration
- Complete information requests from various entities
- Assist with training & policy administration
- Conduct ongoing verification of exclusion status
Employee Relations
- Works with line managers to review and advise on employee relations issues
- Applies intelligence from past experience and legal precedent to guide manager decision-making
- Champions Everest policies and procedures regarding managing employee relations
- Conduct investigations as needed
- Conduct exit interviews as needed
Marketing Communications
- Assist in management of social media and business profiles for marketing/advertising
- Design and ordering of marketing materials
- Expense allocation

- Professional Development
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or a related field is required.
- 4+ years' experience supporting all aspects of an People Operations (Traditionally known as Human Resources) function is required.
- Must have knowledge and experience with recruiting, on-boarding and benefits administration
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with labor and payroll law
- Demonstrated ability to develop trust with workforce members and leaders
- Experience assessing and navigating employee relations issues required
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office 365 suite, including Excel
- Ability to handle multiple and varied priorities with calm and focus
- Creative thinker with the ability to visualize things that don’t yet exist.
- Experience with administering Social Media platforms
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required
- Ability to occasionally overnight travel to locations in ME, MA and RI.
- Must reside in ME, MA or RI or be willing to relocate there.
