About This Position
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lot Technician to join our team. The Lot Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and organization of our dealership's lot, ensuring that vehicles are properly displayed and ready for sale, including being fully fueled or charged, clean, and ready to demonstrate to customers.
Responsibilities:
Assist with organizing and arranging vehicles on the dealership lot, ensuring that vehicles are displayed in an attractive and accessible manner.Perform routine inspections of vehicles on the lot, checking for cleanliness, damage, and any necessary repairs.Move vehicles between the lot, service department, and other dealership locations as required.Assist with vehicle deliveries and pickups, including coordinating with sales and service staff to ensure timely and efficient handling of vehicles.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, including sweeping, trash removal, and snow removal during inclement weather.Verifies receipt of new cars delivered to dealer and parks cars in new car lot in an orderly manner: Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoiceInspects cars to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipmentAssigns stock control numbers to cars, and catalogs, and stores keys.Park cars, following sales, to maximize the use of space and maintain lot in order.Services cars in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration.Help maintain vehicle file for inventory manager to ensure car documentation is in order.Ensure all cars are properly signed for state and manufacturer requirements.Assist with other tasks as needed, including dealership events, inventory management, and customer service activities.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
