About the Role

We are expanding our team and seeking a full-time Smolt Trailer Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee the smolt trailer yard and ensure all smolt trailers and related equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and ready for seasonal smolt and fry deliveries. You will be responsible for keeping all trailers and supporting systems in excellent working conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations throughout the delivery seasons.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the smolt trailer yard, ensuring oxygen systems, equipment, and access areas are safe and fully operational.

- Coordinate seasonal trailer inspections, including tanks, lighting, safety gear, generators, and oxygen delivery systems.

- Conduct and monitor daily checks, ensuring SOPs are followed, supplies are maintained, and minor repairs can be completed as needed.

- Supervise assigned crew members and support freshwater and marine teams in preparing vessels for smolt deliveries.

- Maintain adequate inventory and monitor bulk oxygen levels to support delivery schedules.


Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

- Ability to assess equipment and identify maintenance needs.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Inventory control experience is an asset (training provided).
