Kelly Cove Salmon Limited is seeking a permanent, full-time Saltwater Area Manager for its Grand Manan, NB operations. This role is an integral part of the Kelly Cove Salmon team and is primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of saltwater production and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Production Manager and Site Managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of saltwater aquaculture sea sites and land-based facilities, including feeding, breeding, and harvesting of fish
  • Ensure adherence to company work ethic standards, safety policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all sites
  • Monitor fish health and growth, implementing appropriate measures to maintain optimal well-being and production outcomes
  • Conduct and supervise stock examinations to identify disease or parasites, and coordinate with fish health teams for treatment and prevention measures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fish health, growth, and production for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Provide operational support to managers and assist training managers in developing and delivering effective training programs
  • Act as an on-site team lead, offering guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training support to aquaculture technicians and crew members
  • Ensure staff understand and follow best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 10 years of related managerial experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Technical competency as it relates to software applications used by the Company
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including experience in teambuilding and goal setting.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • A combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
