Position Overview
Kimball Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to help patients restore function, increase independence, and improve quality of life following injury, illness, or disability.
This position serves patients of all ages and plays a key role in helping individuals reach their highest level of performance while living within their capabilities. The Occupational Therapist works collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
The OT reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and provides clinical supervision to COTAs and, when applicable, student interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and physical agents
- Instruct, motivate, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and goals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in a complete and timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise COTAs clinically and support student interns as assigned
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean treatment environment
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and performance improvement activities
- Adhere to all safety, compliance, HIPAA, and regulatory standards

Requirements:Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the State of Nebraska
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements

- OSHA Category I – Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
