We are going to manufacture/supply top cap parts of lithium-ion battery cells to Panasonic Energy.

Summary:

SOODE Kansas Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to operate aluminum stamping machines used in the production of precision metal components. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor equipment, accurately feed materials, respond to alarms, and take appropriate corrective actions. Strong attention to detail, mechanical ability, and excellent attendance are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor aluminum stamping machines and related washing and inspection equipment.
• Accurately feed materials and ensure products meet quality standards through visual and measurement checks.
• Respond promptly and safely to machine alarms or faults; perform basic troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures for machine start-up, operation, and shutdown.
• Maintain clear communication with co-workers, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Complete production and quality logs accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S and Lean practices.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Meet company standards for performance, behavior, and attendance.
• Assist in training new operators when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or assembly.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-national team environment.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.

Physical Qualification:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

• Must always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and earplugs.
